Disney Rejects!5 Princesses & Heroines That Will Never Star in Their Own Movies

Sorry to ruin your childhood–but, most Disney movies are totally altered from their original, fairytale stories.

For example, did you know that in the Brother's Grimm story, Cinderella’s evil stepsisters cut off their toes or heels to fit into the glass slipper?! And the Little Mermaid actually commits suicide!

Grim, we know.

You might be surprised to hear that there are even more stories of princesses and heroines that are just too disturbing for Disney to consider telling their innocent audiences.

But, thankfully, artist and former DreamWorks Effects Animator, Jason Porath, has decided to share these lost tales on his blog, Rejected Princesses.

Click through the gallery above to see the awesome illustrations and read the stories of five women Porath calls, "too awesome, awful or offbeat for the movies."
