Amicable exes! 90 Day Fiancé stars Ashley Martson and Jay Smith reunited for a wedding photo shoot on May 8, only a few weeks after she filed for divorce — for the second time. “I received a message almost 9 months ago from someone who watched our show,” the TLC alum continued. “She wanted to do a barn themed photo shoot for Jay and I because we didn’t get our dream wedding in America. She is the sweetest woman ever!”

“This has been planned for months and months,” Ashley continued in her caption, while sharing a photo of the decked out venue. “Although I wish the situation was much different many people put in a lot of hard work to make today possible.”

It seems like Ashley knew her followers would have an opinion on the matter as she further explained, “There was no way I could back out. People even flew in from another state to be here today.”

Living It Up

“Jay and I agreed a long time ago to be part of this and today we will do this shoot,” Ashley concluded. “It looks stunning already. I will share on my story photos throughout the day.”

Clearing the Air

Ashley posted another disclaimer on her Instagram Stories. “So, before everyone goes crazy, this is something that we contractually have to do that we agreed to do months ago …,” she wrote.

The mother-of-two appeared to be in great spirits for the shoot, especially while getting pampered. Ashley’s hair was styled to perfection with a sparkling pin and she even had her makeup professionally done.

Jay also seemed to be having a good time and was more than happy to put the drama behind him. He posted a message that read, “Put the bag first and your feelings and emotions last.”

More Ahead

It seems we’ll find out more of what happened between them on future episodes. In interviews, Ashley called the split “very dramatic, very messed up” and told In Touch that fans are “going to be shocked” when the details finally come out.

His Side of the Story

As far as the cheating allegations go, “That’s a total lie right there,” Jay told In Touch in an exclusive statement shared April 30. “I started talking to her on April 10 … And when I started talking to her, Ashley and I were broken up already.”
