She’s setting the record straight. 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? star Pedro Jimeno‘s sister, Nicole Jimeno, has definitely got a bad reputation on the show. Nicole is often shown in a negative light and fans don’t necessarily agree with the way she treats her sister-in-law, Chantel Jimeno. But one strange fan theory that has been floating around for years claims that the reason why Nicole doesn’t get along with Chantel is because Nicole is Pedro’s real wife. During a recent Q&A on Instagram, Nicole finally addressed rumors claiming she is married to her brother. Scroll through the gallery to see Nicole’s response.
Chantel, 27, and Pedro, 27, have brought their fair share of drama to the 90 Day Fiancé franchise ever since they were first introduced to fans back on season 4.

During 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 3, Chantel’s family was very vocal about the fact that they didn’t feel that Pedro had good intentions for marrying their daughter.

“After having gone to the Dominican Republic and meeting Pedro’s mother and his sister, we have some new concerns,” Chantel’s mom, Karen, said, during a family trip with Pedro.

“We just find it quite strange that Pedro is sending the equivalent to your cost of living back to Lidia and Nicole while they’re sitting over there asking for big-screen televisions,” she added.

“So, we are concerned that your in-laws are taking advantage of Pedro through you so that they can live their dreams,” Chantel’s mom said.

Chantel tried to tell her parents that she doesn’t feel that she was being taken advantage of by her husband or her in-laws, but they pushed back.

“My theory is that Pedro and Chantel were introduced for Pedro’s mother Lidia to take advantage of an American and the American dollar,” Karen and Thomas said.

But their theory went deeper than that. They felt that Pedro’s marriage to Chantel was set up specifically so Pedro could obtain a green card and work in America in order to support his family back home. It didn’t help that Pedro also revealed during their family trip that he planned to start a business in the Dominican Republic that his mom and sister would help run.

Thomas and Karen took things a step further by meeting with a private investigator in order to try to track down the truth about Pedro and his family.

While meeting with the private investigator, Thomas brought up a point. “He might have another family outside of his family in the Dominican Republic,” he said. Karen also brought up another possibility after Nicole came to visit Chantel and Pedro in America and Pedro offered to get a hotel room for him and his sister to stay in together. “Nicole seems to behave as if Pedro is her boyfriend. It makes me wonder what kind of relationship that is,” Karen said. And Thomas said he questioned whether Nicole was really Pedro’s sister.

But Karen and Thomas aren’t the only people who believe that Nicole is really Pedro’s wife. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans also subscribe to that theory, and Nicole has not addressed the rumors until now.

During a recent Instagram Q&A, a fan asked Nicole in Spanish, “Por que todos decían que eras la esposa de Pedro?” which translates to, “Why did everyone say you were Pedro’s wife?”

“That’s something I do not understand,” Nicole responded. “People are very crazy and really, when those comments came up, I felt [it was] extremely wrong.”
