Ready to make a change. 90 Day Fiancé star Larissa Dos Santos Lima revealed she’s “inspired” to go to law school after wrapping up the criminal assault case filed against her for allegedly getting physical with her ex-husband, Colt Johnson. The TLC alum recently submitted evidence showing she finished six months of domestic violence classes, and Larissa tells In Touch exclusively that she is feeling “accomplished” because she paid off her fines, did her 48 hours of community service and stayed out of trouble. After reaching this pivotal point, the TV personality, 33, said the experience has motivated her to help others going through their own trials and tribulations.

“I believe this system to have some flaws and [I] look forward to establish[ing] my citizenship and pursu[ing] a career as a lawyer to help others in a similar situation in [the] future,” she exclusively tells In Touch.

It’s Almost Over

Larissa’s case is expected to be closed when she appears in court on Wednesday, December 4, marking the end to a long legal battle.

Pleased With the Outcome

“We are very happy with the result of Larissa’s case,” her lawyer, Adam M. Vander Heyden, tells In Touch in a statement.

Bright Future

“With the way the negotiation was structured, this case will not impact Larissa’s ability to pursue her goal of becoming a United States citizen,” he added. “It was a pleasure working with her to meet her goals.”

Paying Dues

Back in May, she was able to avoid spending time behind bars by completing community service instead.

Staying Out of Trouble

Larissa continued to stay on the right track in the following months, having completed eight domestic violence counseling classes by this summer.

The Brazilian bombshell also had to finish her community service hours by her scheduled court date on September 4, which she did.

Over the course of their romance, Larissa was arrested on domestic battery charges three times after alleged altercations with her ex.

Her previous two domestic abuse charges were dismissed and this current case stems from her third arrest.

Larissa was originally charged with domestic battery, but those charges have since been reduced after she completed the court’s orders.

Since then, Larissa has been focused on leading a positive and stress-free life. Larissa still resides in Las Vegas and she went on to date Eric Nichols, but they have since called it quits and found a way to maintain their friendship.

In October, the reality star shared an emotional message reflecting on the past, after admitting she still thinks about Colt.

Feeling Nostalgic

“It is like walking into a home where you once lived. You see the dining room and remember the good times, but you cannot forget what made you leave,” Larissa wrote.

Moving On

“You realize that a bigger house and nice furniture couldn’t fix the problems anymore. I sit in the living room, watching the same old movie over and over again through tears and fear. Seeing that the dirt is still there, sadness hidden under the carpet, I decide to walk out and close the door and never look back again.”
