Mommin’ ain’t easy! Amy Duggar got candid about life with a newborn when she uploaded a relatable breast-feeding photo to Instagram on Tuesday, November 5.

“Pretty poses, makeup and photo shoots are great but it’s not real. Life isn’t perfect, and I don’t want the people who follow me to think that!” she wrote with a laughing emoji. “So, this is the real me in real-time living my best life!” she captioned the photo. “Hot tea in hand, ice water leaned up against me, half-dressed and completely worn out!” In the pic, Amy is slouching down with her eyes closed while she nurses her son, Dax.

In the comments, fans praised the reality star for her honesty. “Oh yes, those beautiful, exhausting days!” one fan commented with a heart emoji while another user wrote, “Postpartum at its finest! Enjoy that fourth trimester even if it’s super exhausting!” Another chimed in writing, “This is real motherhood. Beautiful! 💗”

Amy and her husband, Dillon King, welcomed their baby boy into the world on October 9. “Both mom and baby are great and healthy! He was 7lbs 8oz and 20in long. Smooth delivery!” Dillion’s sister Loren Bullard told to In Touch at the time.

In the days leading up to her delivery, Amy gushed that her man had been a big help. “Dill has been very supportive of me getting plenty of rest!” she told In Touch exclusively while Dax was still taking his nine-month nap. She also shared how they had been working tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect for Dax’s homecoming. “For our last week, we have been busy putting the final touches together for the nursery, washing little baby socks and everything and Dill is putting the car seats in our car! It’s so crazy to think our little man could come anytime!!”
