Anna Duggar Seemingly Alludes to Cheating Scandal in Anniversary Message to Josh
No matter what happened, she’s still got love for her man. On Thursday, September 26, Anna Duggar shared an anniversary message for her husband, Josh Duggar. The occasional Counting On star celebrated the 11 years they’ve spent together in a sweet post that acknowledged the ups and downs of their marriage — and fans think those downs might have been alluding to her husband’s alleged cheating from 2015. Though she doesn’t mention anything about the scandal specifically, the fact that she does bring up the miscarriage they suffered years ago has her followers thinking she’s subtly referencing their marital troubles.
“11 years ago, before God, our family and friends we said, ‘I do!’ — and, my, how the past 11 years have flown by! ♥️” Anna, 31, wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo from her wedding with Josh. “The joys we’ve experienced together have far surpassed the shadows of sorrow we’ve walked through. Through it all, God’s kindness and grace has sustained us. I am thankful for the seven children He has given us together (five here/one in heaven/one due in Nov)! 💕 I love you so much, Joshua, and look forward to growing old together! (Gotta admit though … being young together is pretty fun too!)”
In the comments, viewers of the TLC show wished the couple a happy anniversary and thanked the star for “staying strong.” One wrote, “You’ve been a picture of ‘for better or worse, ’til death do us part.’ In the world of throwing marriages away, God has guided you through. And that is strength and faith. Prayers for many more beautiful years!!!” Another added, “It’s amazing you have stood by loved him.”
In June, Anna was the recipient of a similar sentiment from her husband’s cousin Amy Duggar. While celebrating her birthday (and the 11th anniversary of Josh’s proposal), the Duggar wife gushed about everything she has to “be thankful for,” specifically mentioning her husband. “11 years ago today, I said, ‘Yes!’ to the man of my dreams!” she wrote. “So grateful for God’s grace and redemption over our family! Five beautiful, healthy and energetic growing kiddos and one more on the way!” In response, Amy praised, “Love you, sweet girl. You’re brave, you are forgiving, a great momma and stronger than I could ever be. 💕”
