Bonnie Jo Chapman Says Her Sister Cecily Has a ‘Heavy Heart’ After Losing Beth
Taking it one day at a time. Bonnie Jo Chapman revealed how her sister, Cecily, is coping in the wake of Beth Chapman’s death during a candid new Instagram Q&A posted on Tuesday, July 16. When a fan asked why Cecily didn’t speak at the Dog’s Most Wanted star’s memorial, Bonnie revealed the truth and explained how difficult this loss has been for her sibling.
“She’s been taking this tough, she and my mom were so close,” Bonnie began. “She didn’t think she would be able to, she asked me to do it. I love her so much, she’s got such a heavy heart right now.”
As fans may recall, Bonnie opened up about her relationship with Beth at the reality star’s Colorado memorial service on July 13. “I’ve never imagined I would lose my mom at 20,” she began, while holding back tears. “I never imagined walking down the aisle without her or her not judging my dress. I never imagined a life without her, it’s really tough now being without her.”
Meanwhile, Cecily has been sharing several photos of Beth after news broke about her death at age 51, having recently got the same manicure as her mother. “Cried the whole time but it was totally worth it iLy @nailsbydanny & @mrsdog4real,” she captioned the pic of her dazzling new acrylics, while also adding an angel emoji.
On June 25, Bonnie grieved the passing of her mom by posting a snap holding Beth’s hand in a hospital bed. “So thankful to call you my mother. Rest In Peace, mom. I love you so much,” she wrote. More recently, Bonnie admitted that she’s slowly coming to terms with her new reality.
“My therapist prepared me for all of this, it hurts that it happened so soon but I was able to take advantage of the moments I had with her,” Bonnie shared with her followers during the Q&A. “I try not to regret much with her, and I only regret not talking to her the day before.”
