Catelynn Lowell Defends Her Choice To Go To Rehab And Tyler’s Suggestion To Try Living Apart: ‘I Know What I Put Him Through’
Don’t mess with mama bear! Catelynn Lowell lashed out at haters on Dec. 7, after being relentlessly trashed by online trolls. Recently, she and husband Tyler Baltierra have admitted to trying living apart at his request, and once again, the Teen Mom OG star is insisting that it’s been a good thing once she wrapped her head around it.
“YES we are having a 30-day reflection period. NO we are not getting a divorce!” Catelynn began, trying to put the endless split rumors to rest. She then opened up about how difficult her time in treatment was, not just for her, but for her family. “YES I know what I put him and Nova through when I left for treatment. He was AMAZING and supported me the entire time. I also knew I had to go so I wouldn’t commit suicide. I am supporting what he wants now. We love each other and always will!”
Catelynn followed up in the caption for the post, writing, “So my family would have been better off if I just took my own life? NO! Now GOODBYE I’m done explaining myself.” You tell ’em, girl!
Catelynn and Tyler’s current set-up is definitely unorthodox, but it’s all coming from a place of wanting to strengthen their relationship. Tyler has opened up several times about feeling resentment toward Cate when she went to rehab and when she returned, but the idea for these short separations came after they went to Sedona, AZ on a couples’ retreat. The intention has always been to relieve the stress on their marriage and allow them to be great parents to Nova. We wish them both the best as they continue to work on their relationship!
