RIP Abbie Grace Burnett’s Nursing Job on ‘Counting On’ — We Hardly Knew Ye
When John David Duggar found Abbie Grace Burnett, we were thrilled that a Duggar bride would finally have a full-time gig. But after admitting on Counting On just last week that she occasionally wears pants to work (and as an unmarried woman! How progressive!), this week’s episode revealed that, actually, she doesn’t go to work at all anymore. In the “To Grandmother’s House We Go” episode, of which the theme seemed to be women who are quietly resigned to their lives as homemaking baby factories, the bride-to-be talked about quitting her job before going on one last hurrah of a medical mission with JD, Joseph Duggar got weirdly macho about building a sand castle, and Jackson Duggar persevered despite all attempts to set him up for failure.
