Duane Chapman Looks Happy and Healthy While Officiating ‘Dog’s Most Wanted’ Costar’s Wedding
Wedding goals! Duane “Dog” Chapman took a break from his bounty hunting business for a little fun in Las Vegas, where he officiated the wedding for his costar Kaleo Padilla and Kaleo’s longtime girlfriend, Misti Manasas. The Dog’s Most Wanted star performed the ceremony outside at Sweet Beginnings by Sugar Factory Las Vegas.
The couple said “I do” on Thursday, October 31, under a gazebo covered that was with 50,000 twinkling lights. Their bridal party was also surrounded by a tulip garden of 5,000 lit up candy tulips, giant lollipops and a playful carousel while enjoying a view overlooking the Las Vegas Strip.
Duane, 66, also indulged in some sweet treats inside the Sugar Factory, which included a Lollipop Passion Goblet and a Caramel Sugar Daddy Insane milkshake. The reality star wore a blue and black snakeskin suit with a matching button-down shirt for the occasion.
It’s nice to see Duane enjoying himself while celebrating his costars’ union after a rough year. Back in June, the bounty hunter lost his beloved wife, Beth Chapman. She died at 51 years old after a battle with lung cancer.
Just three months after Beth’s passing, Duane suffered a health scare of his own. He was rushed to the hospital in September after experiencing chest pains, and he later was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism.
In an upcoming episode of The Dr. Oz Show, which is set to air on November 4, Duane will receive the results of a lung scan from Dr. Oz.
“So if you look at the lungs, you see something that really alarmed me and I was fearful of this. You see how this normal artery here has a little white middle part? But this one has a little piece missing out of it,” Dr. Oz, 59, explained.
“You notice it’s white on the outside but the middle is like an eclipse, real black. That’s a piece of blood clot, that is actually inside the arteries of your lungs,” he added. “That’s called a pulmonary embolism. And the problem with these clots is when they block off the arteries, they don’t let any oxygen get to the lungs. There are plenty of folks who died from these emboli.” Duane then vowed that he would stop smoking cigarettes in order to get his health back on track.
