Are Emily McKenzie and Daniel Peterson Still Together? Find out What the ’16 and Pregnant’ Stars Are up to Today!
Oh no — another 16 and Pregnant couple called it quits!
Reality stars Emily McKenzie and her then-boyfriend, Daniel Peterson, were featured on Season 2 of the popular MTV show, but sadly, the high school sweethearts couldn’t make their romance last.
“Divorcing FINALLY the stupid motherf–ker that likes to listen to what his looser[sic] friends say about me that’s untrue,” Emily wrote on Facebook in 2013 — which she has since deleted. “Pathetic. But ignorance is bliss. I wish he’d realize his immaturity only effects [sic] my beautiful son.”
Daniel and Emily got engaged in December 2009 and tied the knot on June 26, 2010 — just after they finished filming their episode. The pair had been dating since they met at band camp when they were 14-years-old.
Cue the “Awws!”
Their romance resembled one straight out of a movie — she was a majorette and baton twirler while he played tenor sax — but sadly, they (almost) lived happily ever after.
It was easy to sympathize with the former couple. Emily’s super-conservative mom kicked her out of the house upon learning that she was pregnant, and when she went to live with her dad, he proved to be just as judgmental.
Today, their son Liam Allen is seven-years-old, and although there’s not much information on the former couple as of late, one thing’s for sure — Liam is adorable!

In 2010, Emily answered fans’ questions on her Formspring account.
When someone asked her why she wanted to be featured on 16 and Pregnant she said, “I’ve had the hardest time because of getting pregnant. And I really wanted other people to see that sometimes having sex isn’t worth everything you give up by getting pregnant.”
She added that she stands by her decision to be filmed and hopes Liam will learn a lesson from her past.
“I didn’t get pregnant to be on TV or to glamorize my life of struggles … I will let Liam know what I went through, and I want him to see so he knows not to put himself in my position. So in a way I’m glad he will get to see it.”
