She’s not backing down! Chantel Everett’s mom, Karen Everett, took to Instagram with a new video of herself clapping back at Pedro Jimeno’s mom, Lidia, after their tense scene on last night’s episode of The Family Chantel. The TLC alum made sure to get her point across in the fiery clip she posted on Tuesday, August 27, and she was clearly addressing her rival. Drama first started popping off between the two when Chantel’s family came face-to-face with her husband Pedro’s brood in the Dominican Republic on the show. Tension Is Brewing

Drama was popping off between Chantel and Pedro’s families on last night’s episode. Her mom, Karen, and dad, Thomas, met up with Pedro’s sister, Nicole, and mother, Lidia, so fans knew it was bound to get heated.

Lost in Translation

Pedro served as the translator during their awkward meeting in the streets of the D.R. and it didn’t take long for feelings to get hurt.

Family Feud

“We love Pedro and Chantel,” Karen said, before Nicole interjected and shared her thoughts on the matter. “Why if you love my brother, love our family, then why did you hit me?” Nicole asked.

Sharing Her Thoughts

Chantel followed up by explaining, “If somebody jumps on top of you, I would hope that somebody would rip their weave out.”

Drama Continues

Unfortunately, Pedro didn’t translate Chantel’s words correctly so he tells his family members, “She said that if someone … She would take your wig off too.” Obviously, this caused even more turmoil.

Clearing the Air

Chantel vented her frustrations about the ordeal afterwards during one scene in the confessional.

Turmoil at Home

“It is really hurting me, because my mom and I tried to have Pedro translate, ‘How would you feel if someone came into your home and tried to fight you?’”

Keeping It Real

“Pedro translated, ‘How’d you feel if somebody wanted to rip off your wig?’ But that’s not what was said,” she added.

Standing Her Ground

Karen later chimed in and mentioned how she’ll do anything to protect her kids, even noting how it’s legal in the United States.

Defending Her Daughter

In response, Lidia hinted that she wanted to retaliate against Karen for going after Nicole during the third season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

“And I can attack you too,” Lidia replied to Karen. “Because you attacked my daughter.”

Clapping Back

Then in another surprising turn of events, Karen took to Instagram with a new video of herself. “You must have a death wish you silly bish! Don’t put your dirty hands on my peluca,” she sang.

Referencing the Scene

Peluca is Spanish for wig, so the reality star was clearly referencing the drama on last night’s episode.

As expected, several fans were sounding off about Karen’s video in the comment section. “This is the ONLY version of the song that I will sing from now on,” one wrote.
