Farrah Abraham Gets Parent-Shamed After Sophia Walks in NYFW

Farrah, 28, has been taking to Instagram with regular updates about their fun-filled trip, having recently shared her excitement about Sophia’s modeling gig. “[Paris] to [NYFW] New dream photo shoot in Paris off to the runways,” she captioned a new photo of them.

Over the weekend, Farrah sat in the audience as she proudly watched her daughter hit the catwalk at a New York Fashion Week show. In the videos, Sophia was seen strutting her stuff with other kids around her age.

Dressed to Impress

The 10-year-old looked glamorous as ever, with her white princess-like gown, bouffant-inspired up ‘do, and some makeup for the occasion. “@mariebellecouture #NYFW Walking #NYFW2019 #runway,” Sophia’s caption read.

Hitting the Runway

In another clip, Sophia rocked a pair of black leather pants with an edgy top. She completed her high-fashion look with her hair down, curled to perfection.

Facing Backlash

After seeing the latest images of Sophia, several fans took to the comment section to blast Farrah. Some parent-shamed the star for seemingly allowing her daughter to skip classes due to her travels.

Drama Continues

“Isn’t tomorrow a school day?” one wrote. Many others blasted the MTV alum because they felt she was forcing her daughter into the spotlight.

Throwing Shade

“Sophia I hope you are doing this because [you] wanted to and not because [your] mother made [you],” another added.  “She’s a pawn or a cash cow in Farrah’s eyes,” a third chimed in.

And the hate didn’t stop there. “Wow now you’re pimping out your daughter @farrahabraham sad world!” a fourth commenter wrote.

Dealing With Nay-Sayers

Sophia and Farrah have been spotted together at a few events lately, having recently stopped by the Venice Film Festival as well as Beautycon, and this isn’t the first time the reality star has been subject to criticism.

Farrah was previously slammed for allowing her daughter to wear makeup at such a young age. After the backlash, the mother of one defended her decision while explaining her stance on the matter.

“I would hope that Sophia can express herself however she wants in a safe and happy place,” Farrah told HollywoodLife.com in August 2019.

“She doesn’t need to feel ashamed for wearing makeup at any age. It’s normal, it’s healthy, it’s beautiful, it’s great,” the MTV alum continued.

Farrah was first introduced to fans on 16 and Pregnant, and she was later offered a job on Teen Mom OG, however she’s since left the franchise.
