Nicole ‘Hoopz’ Alexander: Season 1

Hoopz was arguably one of the first reality TV dating series baddies.

The basketball player caught Flav’s attention from the moment they locked eyes. After snagging private dates and winning challenges, Hoopz won the season and started dating Flav after filming wrapped. The pair called it quits shortly after and the former athlete found a hooper of her own and dated Shaq for three years.

Like we said, the Flavor of Love ladies did a lot of firsts in reality TV history – and Hoopz agrees.

“I could not tell you the dynamic that [Flavor of Love] would bring afterwards, but that was something crazy, but being in that situation I knew that something great was happening, even though I couldn’t put my finger on it,” she told VH1 in 2016. “Standing there when Pumpkin did spit in New York‘s face and that is something that I couldn’t even predicted, even though I know how crazy New York is and I know how crazy Pumpkin was. I still laugh at it like, ‘Oh hell no.’ It became a pivotal moment in reality television and nothing will ever top it because it was so genuinely real. It change and paved the way not only for reality television, but me as a person, even New York is still doing stuff and maybe that’s why we keep going on.”

The H.B.I.C. arrived and never left!

Fans loved her and her costars loved to hate her as New York did whatever it took to stay on Flav’s mind. The reality TV icon declared her love for the musician day by day and when Flav was away, New York was tussling in the mansion with her costar.

The season 1 final three elimination ceremony has gone down in history after New York’s feud with Brooke “Pumpkin” Thompson got physical. After exchanging verbal jabs, Pumpkin spit in New York’s face, who then grabbed her by the hair and threw her into the camera crew.

After falling short to Hoopz in the finale, New York returned for season 2 where she once again became Flav’s runner-up.

New York’s Flavor of Love days were just the tip of her stardom as she became VH1 royalty and landed her own reality dating show, I Love New York.

She entertained fans for two seasons and went on to join other reality shows.

Brooke ‘Pumpkin’ Thompson: Season 1

Pumpkin’s time in the mansion came to an end before the season 1 finale.

Though she made a mark on the show, Pumpkin never returned to the spotlight and has remained off social media.

“I just got so wrapped up in it when I did have it. I was obsessed with it. I wouldn’t do anything else and if I was doing the shows and I didn’t have to work 40 hours a weeks and I had more time to do it, I would do it,” she told VH1 in 2016. “I kinda feel like some of it is just ridiculous like, how some of [the girls] act like like they’re still some big TV star. Yeah, we were big back in the day, you know what I mean? But like, we’re not this generation of reality television stars.”

Courtney ‘Goldie’ Jackson: Season 1

Goldie had a warming presence amongst her castmates and won over Flav’s heart with her humor. She received her Master’s in Social Work in 2017 and is now making people laugh across the nation as a comedian.

During a 2023 interview with Oliver Twixt, Goldie admitted that she “genuinely” wanted to get to know Flav, but never developed a romantic connection with him on the show.

Leilene ‘Smiley’ Ondrade: Season 1

Smiley’s breathtaking beauty radiated on the show.

After joining Flavor of Love, Smiley got married and divorced three times by 2014.

In 2016, Smiley revealed that her emotions were heightened on the show because she was going through a divorce after five months of marriage and her mom recently passed away from cancer.

“Flav and I used to be neighbors after I filmed the show and he told me [after seeing] the black eye, ‘You need to drop this loser. He is never going to change. I’m saying this from my heart and as a friend.’ I have nothing but love for Flav,” she told VH1 of a past abusive partner.

Chandra ‘Deelishis’ Davis: Season 2

The peachy season 2 winner’s kind soul won over Flav’s heart in the middle of cast madness. Deelishis and Flav only dated for a few months after the season wrapped.

Deelishis was married to Santana Raymond for three years and decided to separate in 2022.

As for her career, Deelishis served looks as a music video vixen.

Heather ‘Krazy’ Crawford: Season 2

After her stint on Flavor of Love, Krazy headed to the VH1 spinoff Charm School, which was her last reality TV gig.

“Charm School degraded the women. I don’t want to be a part of that,” she previously said in an interview.

Larissa ‘Bootz’ Hodge: Season 2

Bootz was the It girl of season 2 until her crown was sought after by New York during her delayed entrance.

In April 2024, Bootz reflected on the show by sharing a clip via Instagram of her first introduction … and fight … with New York.

“So are y’all on good terms now or ok terms?” a fan asked in the comments section to which Bootz replied, “Yes.”

Shay ‘Buckeey’ Johnson: Season 2

After checking the reality star box off her checklist, Buckeey entered her entrepreneurial era and is the CEO of The Healthy Hand.

LaTresha ‘Thing 2’ Hall: Season 3

The season 3 winner didn’t join the cast solo as her sister, LaTrisha “Thing 1” Hall, also fought for Flav’s final clock.

The twins appeared on the “Talk of Love” podcast in 2021 and talked about their onscreen roles, revealing that they “still get noticed” by fans.

Candace ‘Black’ Cabrera: Season 3

Black worked as a music video girl for rappers and called out the show after filming wrapped.

“There were a couple of things that were cut and edited that I wasn’t happy with, like when they asked about my ethnicity and they made it look like I didn’t know if I was white or Hispanic,” she said in 2008. “I also think that people forget that I didn’t ask to be called ‘Black.’ I wanted to be called ‘Blue,’ but Flav named me after the color of my dress. It had nothing to do with how I act or the way I talk or anything dealing with skin color or ethnicity.”
