‘Flip or Flop’ Stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s Scam: The Government Gets Involved (EXCLUSIVE)
The government has gotten involved after several customers of Flip or Flop stars Tarek and Christina El Moussa’s “Success Path” real estate seminar accused the program of being a scam.
One customer — Kathryne Brockfield — tells In Touch she signed up for the seminar and paid the $1,997 after being assured that it would be “easy” to flip houses. When she realized that wasn’t the case, they demanded their money back and filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General when their request was not met.
And In Touch’s exclusive investigation revealed that other states had their Attorneys General investigating Success Path for ripping people off.
Iowa resident Lori Ingersoll filed a complaint with her Attorney General’s office after she was suckered out of $41,297.

The Attorney General’s office not only helped recover all but $3,000 of her losses — but also found that the El Moussas’ seminar is violating state law.
“Our Consumer Protection Division contacted Shane Andrus with Premier Mentoring after the consumer filed a complaint,” a spokesperson tells In Touch. “After reviewing the company’s contract with the consumer, we informed Mr. Andrus that it was our position that the contract did not comply with the Iowa Door-to-Door Sales Act. The company agreed to issue a refund to the consumer.”
Unfortunately, not everyone has been so lucky.
“It’s devastating,” Wendy Sisk tells In Touch. She contacted her Attorney General in Florida after paying $80,000 for the courses and remains nearly $90,000 in debt. “They are ruining people’s lives.”
