When is the 2017 Grammy Awards?
The 59th Grammy Awards will take place Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST. The awards will air live on CBS.
But I don’t have a TV! Can I stream the Grammys live?
Yep! You can catch the live stream on the CBS website if you have an all-access membership (or know someone who does) or watch it for free on the Grammy’s website.
Who’s performing at the 2017 Grammys?
Oh, you know, no one really that big…just Adele and Beyoncé! Oh, and also John Legend, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, The Weeknd, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Alicia Keyes. So like we said, no one in particular.
Who’s nominated?
Adele, Drake, Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, and Sturgill Simpson are all nominated for Album of the Year. Here’s a complete list of all the nominations.
Sooo, basically it’s Adele vs. Beyoncé?
Basically. Beyoncé has more nominations though, with nine in comparison to Adele’s five. But of course, the true showdown will be for “Album of the Year.”
Wow, it sounds like EVERYONE will be there! So who won’t?
TMZ reported back in January that Drake, Justin, and Kanye West are all boycotting the ceremony because they think it’s “irrelevant.” However, they could always surprise us and show up anyway.
Why are the Grammys important anyway?
Well apart from the red carpet fashion and the meme-worthy moments, artists who win Grammys usually see a 27.8% increase in song sells and a 39.7% increase in album sales, according to BuzzAngle.
Who’s hosting the 2017 Grammys?
The Late Late Show‘s James Corden will be hosting for the first time this year, replacing LL Cool J after five consecutive years on the job.
Where can I listen to all the music that’s nominated?
Good question! It just so happens that Spotify has a Grammy Awards 2017 playlist where you can stream all the nominated music right now.
That’s it! You are now up-to-date on all things Grammy-related. See you on Sunday!
