Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes Seen Together on Ice Cream Date After Breakup Rumors Swirl
What’s going on with these two? Jamie Foxx and Katie Holmes were spotted together at an ice cream parlor in Los Angeles on April 8, despite the speculation swirling that they broke up. Are they just friends now, or is this ice cream outing a date?
An insider told In Touch after news of the sighting broke on April 10, “Jamie bought a small sugar cone with Peanut Butter Gianduja, and he got a chocolate hazelnut sauce on top.” Apparently, Katie got “Vanilla Rose and Pistachio.” While this duo clearly has differing ice cream preferences, they don’t seem to let it stand in the way of their relationship!
Katie, 40, and Jamie, 51, seemed super cozy at the gelato shop — which a source told In Touch is popular with “a lot of celebrities” and that it’s “become a hot spot” in the two years it’s been open — despite the recent rumors that they’d split up. An eyewitness told us, “Jamie was singing to the music that was playing, and at one point he and Katie were swaying together and Katie put her hand on his arm as they were talking. They were standing real close, and because he started swaying, it made her sway as well. They were having fun and it was cute! There was no other PDA.”
The couple also had Jamie’s oldest daughter, Corinne Foxx, with them on the tasty outing, and it seemed like she’s getting pretty close with Katie. “Jamie left the shop first and Corinne and Katie lingered behind because Corinne was trying the flavors that were in Katie’s cup,” said the source. How sweet!
At an Oscars afterparty at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in late February, Jamie apparently told the crowd that he was no longer in a relationship. “Jamie was on stage performing with a large line of women. While he was referring to married and single couples, he dropped the line, ‘I’m single.’” an insider told In Touch. “He got the party started right after the Oscar telecast ended. He was singing, dancing and bringing women up on stage.” That spurred on speculation that he and Katie had called it quits, but these new photos suggest otherwise.
Before those comments Jamie apparently made, the pair hadn’t been seen together since their yacht day in Miami, Florida in December 2018. However, not long before that, the couple officially moved into a house together in New Orleans. “Jamie Foxx is shacking up with Katie Holmes while she films The Secret in New Orleans,” a source exclusively told In Touch at the time. “Jamie’s completely head-over-heels in love with Katie and can’t bear to be apart from his girlfriend. Whenever he’s not working, he flies to New Orleans to be by her side and support her.”
So what the heck is going on here? Is this Hollywood couple back on again or what? If they did take a break, maybe this ice cream date is just what they need to rekindle the romance all over again.
