So, you know how JAY-Z and Kanye West have been fighting for years, but we don’t actually know the real reason behind it? The biggest theory is that Ye was upset that Jay and his wife, Beyonce, didn’t show up to his wedding to Kim Kardashian. Even though the “Empire State Of Mind” rapper told T, The New York Times Style Magazine that he “loves” Kanye, it seems like these two are feuding, once again.

On Meek Mill’s new album, JAY-Z is featured on the track, “What’s Free” and raps, “No red hat, don’t Michael and Prince me and Ye / They separate you when you Michael and Prince’s DNA, uh / I ain’t one of these house n—as you bought / My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours / My spou- (C’mon man) / My route better of course.” Damn, Jay!

Now, let’s breakdown some of the lyrics. The red hat that Jay is referring to is the Make American Great Again baseball cap that Kanye has been photographed wearing multiple times, like when he visited President Trump in the White House in October. As for the next set of lyrics, allegedly, Prince and Michael Jackson had a crazy rivalry — there have even been multiple reports that the “Purple Rain” singer tried to run Michael over with a car. Woah. Perhaps Jay doesn’t want their feud to get THAT out of control.

Lastly, the 48-year-old raps about his “spouse” and we have to assume this has something to do with Jay and Bey not attending Kanye’s wedding. There have also been multiple rumors that Queen Bey doesn’t like Kim. Hmmm.

“I was hurting about them not coming to the wedding. I understand they were going through some things, but if it’s family, you’re not going to miss a wedding,” the 41-year-old recalled in an interview from earlier this year. Kanye was also VERY upset when Jay didn’t visit him to make sure that Kim was OK after she was robbed in Paris. He vented to his concertgoers, “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say, ‘how you feelin’?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin’? Come by the house.”

However, last year, Jay reassured fans that the two were on good terms. He said, “[I talked to] Kanye the other day, just to tell him, like, he’s my brother. I love Kanye. I do. It’s a complicated relationship with us….’Cause, you know — Kanye came into this business on my label. So I’ve always been like his big brother. And we’re both entertainers.” He continued, “It’s always been like a little underlying competition with your big brother…So it’s like, we both — everyone wants to be the greatest in the world. You know what I’m saying? And then there’s like a lot of other factors that play in it. But it’s gonna, we gonna always be good.”

Jay tweeted that he didn’t throw any ~shade~ towards Kanye, but everyone probably thinks otherwise. He wrote, “The line clearly meant don’t pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat). Now, go pick up Meek album. Drake and Meek on there together.”

Welp, we have so many questions that are still unanswered. For now, we’ll just be waiting for Kanye’s comeback song to be released.
