Jessa Duggar and Her Husband Ben Seewald Have 5 Adorable Kids — Get to Know Them!

Spurgeon Elliot Seewald

Spurgeon, born on November 5, 2015, is Jessa and Ben’s eldest child. He was named after Charles Spurgeon, a British preacher from the mid- to late 1800s. 

“He had a big impact on our lives,” Ben said in a YouTube video at the time. “His writings and his sermons and books are still around today. They just continued to impact many, many people.”

In a March 2022 Instagram post, Jessa revealed that Spurgeon has already picked up one of his dad’s favorite hobbies. “You know it’s a good book when your 6-year-old decides to plant himself on the couch for some morning reading, and then he just can’t stop,” Jessa wrote. “Four hours straight, only breaking for lunch because mom insisted. I’m impressed! He definitely takes after his dad.”

Henry Wilberforce Seewald

Henry, the couple’s second son, was born on February 6, 2017. Jessa liked the name Henry, but he was also partially named after the 17th-century preacher Matthew Henry. His middle name honors William Wilberforce, an 18th and 19th-century politician.

Jessa gushed about her second-born in an adorable Instagram post in March 2022, sharing a snap of the tiny tot taking a nap with a bag of Goldfish crackers still in his hand. “This sweet little guy can fall asleep anywhere,” she captioned the photo. “Too cute to not snap a pic!”

Ivy Jane Seewald

Ben and Jessa’s first daughter, Ivy, was born on May 26, 2019. 

“We’re so grateful to God for this precious gift. She is already so loved. Her big brothers adore her!” the couple told Us Weekly at the time. 

Jessa marked Ivy’s third birthday with a sweet tribute on Instagram in May 2022. “She brings joy and laughter to our home every single day. I can barely remember what life was like before she was here with us!” she wrote. “So thankful to God for this precious gift of Ivy Jane!”

Fern Elliana Seewald

Fern, born on July 19, 2021, is the youngest child of Ben and Jessa’s four children. The pair revealed they were expecting Fern in February 2021 after suffering a miscarriage the previous year.

“Fern has a fan club. Oh, how her siblings adore her!” Jessa previously said.

Jessa further proved that Fern and Ivy already have a special sisterly bond in an October 2022 Instagram post, in which Ivy helped feed her baby sis. “Sisterhood [white heart emojis],” she captioned the cute photo. “At 1 and 3 years old, they’re already the best of friends! Ivy: “Let me help you get your last bites, Ferny!”

George Augustine Seewald

After experiencing a miscarriage in 2022, Jessa announced in September 2023 that she was pregnant with baby No. 5. She and Ben welcomed their son, George Augustine, on December 19, 2023.

“Baby is here and we couldn’t be more grateful,” the mom of five wrote on Instagram on December 23.
