She Suffered Sexual Abuse As a Child

The star revealed she was sexually abused when she was just 6 years old. It occurred when she “shared a bed with the daughter of a family friend,” she wrote in an excerpt published by People magazine on January 22.  She continued to elaborate on the abuse, writing, “It would start with tickling my back and then go into things that were extremely uncomfortable. I wanted to tell my parents. I was the victim, but somehow, I felt in the wrong.”

Although Jessica did end up telling her parents, her trauma was never fully addressed. “We never stayed at my parents’ friends’ house again, but we also didn’t talk about what I had said.”

Her Relationship With John Mayer Was a Doozy

Jessica took a deep dive into her relationship with the rocker in her tell-all book. The beauty said the couple were always hot or cold, but his remarks about her in his 2010 interview with Playboy was the final straw. “He talked about me by name in the most degrading terms. You can look it up because I had to be asked about those quotes in every interview I did for about two or three years,” she wrote.

Additionally, she believes John used her as “material” for his music. “Every time John returned, I thought it was a continuation of a love story, while my friends saw a guy coming back for sex with some foolish girl,” she wrote.

She Slept With Nick Lachey After Their Divorce

Although we all hoped Jessica and her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, would last forever, the two called it quits —  and on Jessica’s terms. While the “Sweetest Sin” singer divorced Nick in 2006, she invited him over after the fact to clear the air. “I didn’t know any other way to make it better, so I slept with him,” she said. Unfortunately, there was “no connection.”

She Had an Emotional Affair With Johnny Knoxville

While she was still with Nick, Jessica claimed to have had an emotional connection with her Dukes of Hazzard costar Johnny Knoxville. “It was like Johnny and I were prison pen pals, two people who wanted so much to be with each other but were kept apart,” she explained in the book. While the two never had sex, she believes their emotional connection was more of a betrayal than a physical one.

Jessica revealed she decided to go under the knife to get rid of stretch marks and loose skin due to her pregnancies. She said she felt extremely insecure of her once toned body. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go as planned. “It did not go well. I got an infection — colitis — and was vomiting so much I thought I was going to bust my sutures,” Jessica wrote. She secretly had to stay in the hospital until she healed.
