Mary-Kate Olsen Considered ‘Fuller House’ Role Before It Was Offered to Little SIs Elizabeth Olsen
Full House fans were let down when Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen chose not to bring back Michelle Tanner in the show’s upcoming revival series, Fuller House — but the 29-year-old newlywed entertained the idea before it was offered to the twins’ younger sister, Elizabeth Olsen!
“Ashley said, ‘I have not been in front of a camera since I was 17 and I don’t feel comfortable acting,'” producer Bob Boyett tells People. “Mary-Kate said, ‘It would have to be me because Ash doesn’t want to do it, but the timing is so bad for us.'”

Bob also added the twins are busy with their fashion lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James.
John Stamos — who played Uncle Jesse on the sitcom — revealed on Tuesday that after both twins declined the part, they considered the Olsens’ younger sister, Elizabeth, for the role.

“I didn’t do it; I think [creator] Jeff Franklin did. I said, ‘Call the sister. Ask her.’ We talked to her agent and her agent was like, ‘Come on, she’s not going to do that,’ but we did call her agent,” he said during Andy Cohen’s radio show on Monday.
Fuller House premieres on Netflix on Feb. 26.
