Jonathan Cheban’s New Movie Sounds Eerily Similar to Kim Kardashian’s Paris Robbery
It’s official: Kim Kardashian can make anyone famous.
Jonathan Cheban hit the lottery when he became best friends with Kim K. The former publicist turned serial reality star is now branching into another field… acting. That’s right, it’s obviously not enough that the 43-year-old has appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Celebrity Big Brother — he now wants to be a movie star. In Touch can confirm that Jonathan will appear in a new flick titled By Any Means.

The most ironic part about the star’s newfound career is the plot of the movie. It seems like it was inspired based off true events because it follows a reality star who gets kidnapped and later held for ransom. Ummm? That sound’s awfully similar to Kim’s tragic kidnapping in Paris last year. In the thriller, Jonathan plays the reality star’s agent who is in charge of acting as a liaison between her kidnapper and the press.
We wonder how Kim feels about what is most likely the most horrific thing that’s happened to her used for the plot of a movie made to entertain people. And to have one of her closest friends starring in it has got to make the situation even worse.

There’s something else important about the movie that’s worth noting. It doesn’t just tell the story of a kidnapping, but rather a supposed kidnapping. IMDb describes the storyline as “A C-list celebrity gets kidnapped and held hostage after a nightclub appearance. When the police interrogate the man she accuses, they question whether she’s after justice or a front-page story.”
Now, Kim isn’t C-list, but she did get kidnapped and people have since questioned if it was merely a publicity stunt. Could Jonathan be doing the same thing?
