Parkland school shooting survivor Emma Gonzalez is so concentrated on changing the world, she doesn’t have time for Kanye West‘s praise. The 40-year-old rapper gave the 19-year-old activist a shout-out on Twitter, a nod that the teenager abruptly swept under the rug.

“My hero Emma Gonzalez,” Kanye tweeted out along with a picture of the teen activist. He later shared a second post, a selfie of himself with a newly-shaved head. “Inspired by Emma,” he wrote.

But instead of feeling flattered or excited by the mega star’s admiration and attention, she seemingly snubbed Kim Kardashian‘s husband by tweeting a response about who her own hero is. “My hero James Shaw Jr. [sic],” Emma wrote to her nearly two million followers. James Shaw, Jr. is the man who attacked and destabilized a gunman who opened fire at with an assault rifle a Waffle House restaurant in Tennessee earlier this month.

Emma, who survived the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14 that claimed the lives of 17 people, has been outspoken in her disdain and disappointment in President Donald Trump. As part of her campaign for change, Emma solicits stricter gun laws and is an advocate for victims of gun violence.

“I want to say that this is our opportunity to talk to President Trump,” Emma has said, “Governor Rick Scott, and State Senator Marco Rubio to make sure that they know we are talking directly to them and all other members of the United States government that are being funded by the NRA to tell them now is the time to get on the right side of this.”

It seems like Emma’s diss at Kanye might be because of his recent string of political tweets in which he praised President Trump. “You don’t have to agree with trump [sic] but the mob can’t make me not love him,” the rapper wrote. “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

But on the other hand, Kanye and Kim have both been very public about their support of Emma Gonzalez’s efforts to raise awareness for gun control. The couple brought their four-year-old daughter North West to the March for Our Lives rally in Washington, D.C. earlier this year, an experience Kim shared on social media that she hopes Nori remembers for the rest of her life.

“I’m so happy I got to share this moment with these two,” the 37-year-old mom of two wrote on Instagram. “I hope North remembers this forever.”

Kanye has also gone on record speaking out about school shootings and gun violence in the past, proving that it’s an issue he’s passionate about changing. “We are numb, we’re numb to 500 kids getting killed in Chicago a year, we’re numb to the fact that it was seven police shootings in the beginning of July,” Kanye has said in the past, which is why fans are so confused about his recent endorsement of Trump.
