Recently, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been living it up in New Orleans. From staying in a home together to wearing matching jackets on set, they’ve been serious couple goals. But for Jamie’s birthday on Dec. 13, they decided to do something a little special. Instead of heading out for a fancy dinner or setting up some huge public party, they kept it simple. To make sure she had everything ready, Katie headed out to the market.

Her stylish trench looked perfect for the occasion — gorgeous but still casual and warm.

When she got to the grocery store, she stocked up on supplies.

Just looked at all those different packed bags! She pulled out all the stops for Jamie.

Think she and the actor stayed casual for dinner, too? We’re imagining that they wanted to get extra comfy for a night in.

Whether she was inside running errands or stepping out into the December night, she was ready for anything.
