Keanu and Alexandra didn’t shy away from sharing a very public kiss at the event. 

The loved-up display comes after In Touch exclusively reported that the couple is ready to tie the knot in a backyard wedding at Keanu’s home in Hollywood Hills.

After five years together, “it feels like the right time to make a commitment to each other,” a source shared. “They’re not doing this for anybody but themselves. They’re soulmates and they want to spend the rest of their lives together.”

So in Love

Inside the gala, Keanu and Alexandra sat next to each other and cozied up for more pictures at the table. 

The couple was friends for years before they got together romantically. They first met at a dinner party in 2009 and began working together in 2011 when they collaborated on the book The Ode to Happiness. Keanu wrote poems for the book, while Alexandra provided drawings. She also did the illustrations for Keanu’s 2015 book, Shadows, and they founded a publishing company together in 2017.

Red Carpet Date Night

For the MOCA Gala, Alexandra looked gorgeous in a plunging dress with side cutouts, while her man wore a navy suit and grey scarf. 

It’s unclear exactly when these two decided to take their relationship from friends to lovers. However, Alexandra’s friend Jennifer Tilly said in February 2020 that the visual artist first referred to Keanu as her boyfriend “about a year and a half” earlier. They first went public with their relationship in 2019.

Wedding Plans

While Keanu and Alexandra have been hush-hush about their plans to walk down the aisle, In Touch’s source exclusively revealed that Alexandra was the one who popped the question.

“It was pretty impressive of her to ask, but then again, Alexandra is a strong independent woman who knows what she wants,” the insider explained.

Meant to Be

“Keanu was living alone for a while but Alexandra changed everything,” the source added. “He’s never felt this way before. He loves their life together.”
