Lamar Odom Says He Will ‘Maybe’ Reach Out to Kim Kardashian and Rob Kardashian for ‘DWTS’ Advice
From the basketball court to the dance floor! Lamar Odom will be appearing on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars, but will the athlete ask Rob Kardashian and Kim Kardashian for advice since they previously were on the show?
“Maybe. Maybe, there’s a time and place for everything,” the 39-year-old told In Touch exclusively at the DWTS cast reveal at Planet Hollywood in New York City on Wednesday, August 21. “So, why not now?”
The New York native isn’t sure that his dancing skills are up to par, but he is excited for this journey. “I know it was going to be tough for me because I’m stepping into a whole other element,” he admitted. “I’m really nervous about it. But at the end of the day, I know if I don’t trip or piss on myself, then I did pretty well.”
The dad of two found love with Khloé Kardashian in 2009, but it didn’t last due to his infidelity and drug addiction. At first, the Good American designer, 35, filed for divorce in December 2013, but following the news of his near-fatal overdose in October 2015, she decided to withdraw the papers. Ultimately, Koko filed for divorce a second time in May 2016.
Throughout his marriage, Lamar became very close with the Kardashian clan, and it seems like he still has nothing but love for his ex. When asked if he still remains in contact with the KUWTK starlet, Lamar said, “No. But she’s alright, she’ll be alright.” The NBA baller also called Khloé “a great mother.”
Lamar recently went public with his new relationship — he is currently dating Sabrina Parr, 32. On August 2, he posted a picture of them on Instagram. “What we have is much more than they can see … @getuptoparr,” he captioned the snap. The former Los Angeles Laker also revealed that he’s “definitely moved on” from Khloé during a candid interview with Dish Nation on August 12. He had nothing but nice things to say about the Kardashian family, stating, “I knew what I was getting myself into. They always did right by me.”
Lamar wants people to know that he is ready to show off his moves and be involved in the competition. “I’m really a fighter,” he said. “Probably unlike any other fighter you’ve come across before.”
We can’t wait to see Lamar kick some ass — with or without help from the Kardashians.
