‘LPBW’ Star Tori Roloff Reveals Dog Murphy Had a ‘Cancer’ Scare But He’s ‘Totally Fine’ Now
Poor pup! Tori Roloff took to Instagram on Sunday, July 7, to reveal her dog, Murphy, had a cancer scare. The Little People, Big World star shared the news after fans noticed she hadn’t posted him on social media in a while.
“You guys are so observant. People keep asking me about dog dog,” the pregnant mama, 28, began. “He’s good! He hasn’t been on Stories because the poor pup got an abscess while we were gone. It grew to the size of a softball almost overnight and he had to have it removed. He’s totally fine and we’re thankful it wasn’t cancer! Buuut [sic] he’s kind of a mess as we get it all drained.”
Unfortunately, that means Tori’s son, Jackson — whom she shares with her husband, Zach — can’t hang out with his best bud. “I think dog dog and Jackson have been upset because it was doctors orders to keep them apart until the drain comes out.” Aww.
The two have been pals from the moment Zach and Tori brought him home. “Guess what?!?! World: Meet Murphy!” Tor shared on her Instagram back in July 2018. “We are so excited to bring this friend home. Our world just got a little crazier.”
However, the scare was likely more terrifying this time around since the couple lost their first pup, Sully, to cancer at a young age. In March 2017, Tori shared a heartbreaking tribute to him.
“Today would have marked three years since we brought home our best friend. I still remember the day so vividly. I was so nervous to get a dog but knew I was missing something,” she wrote at the time. “I remember telling my mom and Zach, ‘We’re just going to go meet him and then make a decision’ … Ya right. The decision was made the second I laid eyes on him. He was perfect. He was calm. He was SO fluffy. He was mine.”
