Mama June has big plans now that her weight loss journey was a success!
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo alum — who now stars on We TV series Mama June: From Not to Hot — is ready to make quite a name for herself in her new body.
“She’s got a whole new lease on life and feels better than she has in years. June’s confidence is sky-high, and she’s even considering a major life move. June’s interested in breaking into Hollywood and would love to become a comedy actress like Melissa McCarthy,” a source told [Hollywood Life](https://hollywoodlife.com/2017/02/27/mama-june-acting-plans-move-hollywood-next-melissa-mccarthy?utmsource=social&utmcampaign=partner-bauer&utmmedium=social)_. “She’s already met with a couple of agents and is seriously thinking about relocating to Hollywood at some point in the near future.”

The reality star decided to have a gastric sleeve fitted before attending her ex Sugar Bear‘s wedding, and at this point has lost nearly 300 pounds thanks to diet, exercise, and surgery.

“I just decided it was time for a change, to be more healthy and to do something for myself because I do so much for everybody else. At first, people were saying, ‘You’re losing weight, you look great,’ and I just ran with it,” she previously explained.

“I hope that somebody will realize that’s going through the same weight loss struggles that they’re not alone and realize it’s not all peaches and cream. I hope one person gets something out of it, that they realize the struggles are real. I’d tell people who are struggling with weight, just take it one day at a time. You can’t just give up because it seems like the easy way to go. Trust me, I wanted to give up several times through this journey.”
