Free Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino! It looks like the Jersey Shore star may be getting out of jail sooner than he thought — but it might not be all good news. Even though Mike is leaving prison, he most likely will have to go a halfway house. The MTV personality began his sentence on January 15, and since then, his costars and wife have visited him. Scroll through the gallery below to get all the details.
The 37-year-old is currently serving an eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion at Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in New York.

Road to Freedom
“My estimated guess is he’ll be going home any day now between now and early next month to a federal halfway house, where he’ll spend a couple of weeks before he goes to home confinement,” Dan told USA Today Network New Jersey on Monday, July 22.

Strict Rules
So, what is the halfway house like? “There’s no partying, no drugs, nothing,” he added. “He might be able to go home on weekends. Hopefully, he doesn’t get complacent and have a relapse.” If he does go to the halfway house, it will not extend beyond his original September 13 release date. After that, Mike will have 24 months of probation.
