‘Total Divas’ Star Maryse Announces That She’s Pregnant — but Fans Aren’t Convinced
The Total Divas family is growing! Pro wrestlers Maryse Mizanin and her husband Mike “The Miz” Mizanin made an appearance on the Sept. 11 episode of the WWE’s Raw to announce that they’re pregnant and expecting their first child together! Watch the video below to see how Maryse’s Total Divas co-stars reacted to the baby news!
Mike and Maryse stood in the center of the ring to address their WWE fans, and their announcement was completely unexpected. “My wife and I have been thinking long and hard about how we wanted to announce this special news,” he told the crowd. “And we thought, there is no better place to announce it than the first place that we met, and that is here in the WWE in front of all of you.”
“We’re having a baby!” Maryse exclaimed, and the crowd cheered. But even though a pregnancy announcement would be a huge cause for a celebration — and other WWE superstars have reacted to the news — it wouldn’t be a huge shock if Maryse’s pregnancy was not true.
In the WWE, there are storylines created for each pro wrestler’s character and those storylines are considered “kayfabe,” which is when performances are staged in order to seem true or authentic. Many fans took to social media to speculate whether Maryse is really pregnant in real life, or if it’s just another storyline for the WWE.

But Mike and Maryse have been open about wanting kids, so the news might actually be true. “We both want kids. I want a little Miz running around, even though I know he is going to be the most annoying kid in the world,” he said in a 2013 interview with the Miami Herald. “If he is anything like his father, then my God! I’m definitely preparing for that, but who knows how long that will be.”
