Paola Mayfield Slams ’90 Day Fiancé’ Editing: It ‘Always Makes Me Look Like S–t’

Tense Reunion

Part 2 of the 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? tell-all aired on Sunday, July 28, and fans finally got some insight about what transpired between Ashley and her estranged husband, Jay.

Awkward Conversations

At one point, Jay admitted to hooking up with two other women during his time in America. Later, cameras showed Paola, 32, laughing as she asked Ashley how many times she filed for divorce from her former flame.

Firing Back

“It was two, but I don’t know why it’s so f—ing funny,” Ashley said, while looking visibly emotional.

Tough Times

“I’m sorry that I took vows and I decided to try to work though my marriage. It’s not f– funny,” the TLC alum continued while opening up about their split.

Clearing the Air

Paola mentioned how it seemed like Ashley wasn’t taking anything seriously, later noting how it’s good she’s finally walking away from Jay after all of the tension.

Tumultuous Split

During the tell-all, Ashley spoke candidly about her heartbreak and revealed how it’s causing her serious distress. “Honestly, I’m dying inside, just so you all know. Like, I’ve sat in my bed for two weeks straight, trying to take care of my kids, I lost 23 pounds,” she said.

Sharing Her Thoughts

“We’re getting a divorce and it hurts because I love him. I still love him,” the reality star added.

Calling It Quits

Jay eventually did defend himself, addressing how there was more to the story than viewers are seeing. “No matter what, we can’t go on,” he said. “It’s just not going to work … the age difference, everything. She is controlling and stuff like that … It’s just not gonna work.”

Taking to Instagram

After the reunion aired, Paola was obviously getting some heated remarks from fans as she decided to release a statement via Instagram Stories on July 29.

Setting the Record Straight

The new mom said she wanted to clear up some misconceptions, not for her “haters,” but for those she respects. Paola then brought up Ashley.

“I wasn’t laughing at her pain, we were laughing at how confusing was everything in that moment because we know what happened on social media and yes we were laughing not only me,” she began.

Venting Her Frustrations

In her second point, Paola mentioned how one of the producers told her that Ashley was “talking bad” about her. “Maybe because I called her out about all the lies on social media and the GFM money which I promoted it on my account,” she continued.

Not Having It

Paola also wrote how she doesn’t owe anybody an explanation, before noting how editing always makes her look “like s–t.” The reality star added, “I know I’m not an easy person and I know I’ve made mistakes in the past and I owned those mistakes, but this is BS!”

Still Going Strong

“As for my husband and I, believe if I am all that then he wouldn’t be with me,” she addressed about Russ.

Drama Continues

Ashley later posted a statement of her own, telling her fans to stop “bullying” Paola. “Since she is yelling about editing and calling TLC out can you let the world know why I jumped up and left the building Pao? Still waiting on that (flying money emoji) so I’m gonna be quiet,” she wrote.

What a reunion!
