Perez Hilton Announces the Birth of Baby No. 3 — Meet Mayte Amor!
Congratulations are in order! Perez Hilton is a dad again. The 39-year-old celebrity blogger welcomed his third child — Mayte Amor — into the world on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Perez shared the exciting news with his fans by writing a post (and sharing on Instagram!) the details surrounding his baby girl's birth.
"I am beaming with joy and pride as I share with you that my family has grown yet again," he wrote. "Last week my son and daughter welcomed a sister into the world! Named after her grandparents — Mario & Teresita — their love will forever flow through her and protect her and all of my kids. Grandma is over the moon and so are her siblings!"
And his friends and fans could not have been any happier for him on social media. One wrote, "My heart is full of love for your new daughter, the love she will get not only from her big brother and sister, grandma and of course one very very proud dad. I wish you all the best on another journey with your latest daughter." Another added, "OMGGG im screaming !! So happy for you and the kids. Cant wait to see her grow surrounded by all that love."
Perez welcomed his first child, Mario Armando Lavandeira III, in February 2013 and his second child, Mia Alma Lavandeira, in May 2015. Both kids were born via surrogate just like Mayte.
He continued to not only share his joy but also his gratitude to his surrogates: "Most importantly, thank you to the surrogate who gave me the greatest gift anyone could ever receive! And thank you to the other two surrogates who helped us as well! And thank you to all the surrogates who give so selflessly and whose kindness is inspiring! There are still many states in America that, sadly, prohibit surrogacy and I hope to use my voice to advocate for making it legal across the country!"
