He’s on the mend. Earlier this month, SNL star Pete Davidson had fans worried after he took to Instagram to share a seemingly suicidal message on Instagram before completely deleting his account. Pete has been very open about his struggle with mental health in the past — especially after his split from his ex-fiancée, singer Ariana Grande. Now, two weeks after his cry for help, sources revealed to Us Weekly that Pete is doing well.

Insiders told Us Weekly that Pete, 25, “is doing a lot better” and he’ll be able to end 2018 on a more positive note. The news comes just hours after the comedian was spotted out on a date with a brunette mystery woman in Miami on Saturday, Dec. 29 — and he was even sporting a new haircut.

Pete and his mystery woman were spotted out on a lunch date while sitting poolside at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, according to Us Weekly. It’s unclear if the mystery woman is a friend or if she’s a love interest, but insiders said Pete seemed “to be happy in her company.”

It seems like Pete is making positive strides in his life after hitting a particularly dark place. On Dec. 15, Pete shared a disturbing message on Instagram and seemed to exhibit suicidal thoughts. “I really don’t want to be on this earth anymore. I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so ❤️,” the 25-year-old wrote in a text post shared on his official Instagram page.

Pete’s fans were extremely worried, and so was his ex-fiancée, Ariana. Shortly after he shared the post, she rushed to NBC studios where Pete was filming for SNL to be by his side. But sources revealed to Us Weekly that when Ari arrived, Pete refused to see her.
