Prince Harry was spotted visiting his estranged father, King Charles, amid news of the monarch’s cancer diagnosis. Harry, who caught a flight from Los Angeles on February 5, 2024, was seen leaving the Heathrow Airport and traveling to Charles’ longtime home in London, Clarence House.

Harry traveled alone, as wife Meghan Markle stayed behind in the States to care for the couple’s two young children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. News of Charles’ cancer diagnosis came after he underwent a procedure to treat an enlarged prostate. However, doctors found evidence of cancer in a different area.

“During The King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer,” the palace said in a statement.

Leaving the Airport

Harry was spotted in a black SUV leaving Heathrow Airport on February 6 as he traveled to visit his father at his home, Clarence House. This visit marked the first time he and Charles have been together in person since Charles’ coronation in May 2023.

Amid news of Harry’s arrival, King Charles’ helicopter was seen preparing to land at Buckingham Palace in London.

Despite his recent diagnosis, the king has no plans to take any significant time off as of the date of publication.

“His Majesty has today commenced a schedule of regular treatments, during which time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-facing duties. Throughout this period, His Majesty will continue to undertake State business and official paperwork as usual,” said the statement released to the public.

Charles and Camilla, queen consort, waved from the back of one of the cars escorting them from Clarence House. While Harry planned to meet with his father, seeing his brother Prince William was another story. People reported that Harry had “no plans” to meet with William during his time in London.

People crowded outside Buckingham Palace after hearing of the king’s cancer diagnosis. Many of them left flowers and cards while one artist painted a banner with Charles’ face and wished the monarch well in his recovery.

Sunday Church Service

Charles and Camilla were seen in seemingly good spirits as they attended the Sunday service at the Church of St Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate on February 4, 2024. This was the first time the king had been seen since he was photographed leaving the hospital on January 31, 2024.
