Ryan Edwards Reportedly Hasn’t Seen Bentley Since March and He “Really Missed” the 8-Year-Old
Family drama! Ryan Edwards reportedly hasn't seen his son, Bentley Edwards, since March when his baby mama Maci Bookout filed a protection order against him. Things got nasty between Maci and Ryan when she accused him of showing up to Bentley's baseball game under the influence of heroin and threatening her over the phone. After all of that, Maci was granted a two-year restraining order against Ryan ordering him to stay away from her, her husband, Taylor McKinney, and their two children, Jayde, 2, and Maverick, 1.
However, things are looking up for Ryan and Bentley's relationship. Bentley was officially dropped from the original protection order and the father-son duo will finally be able to reunite. "Ryan really missed Bentley," Ryan's father, Larry Edwards, told Radar Online. "He hasn't seen him, not yet."
Larry continued to open up about what it's been like since Maci filed the order. He claimed that the Teen Mom OG star has only allowed Bentley to visit with himself and Ryan's mom, Jen Edwards. "It's been sporadic, but we have been with Bentley on a couple of weekends," Larry explained. "Ryan [had] to leave the house at the time. [But], she's given us the opportunity to see [Bentley]."
And just because Ryan had to leave his parents' house whenever Bentley made a visit, didn't mean he was bitter about it. Larry actually told the publication that Ryan was supportive of the visits because he didn't want his parents to "suffer."
As for Ryan's battle with addiction? Larry said things are good at the moment. "Ryan is doing fantastic," he revealed. He's also apparently "very excited" about welcoming a baby with his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, in October — despite his less than enthused attitude on the show when Mackenzie found out.
"Ryan is very excited that it's a boy," Larry said. "We wanted a little girl because we don't have a little girl!" Regardless of the sex, Ryan is about to be a daddy for the second time, and we're hoping he actually has his sh-t together like Larry claimed.
