Sia Apologizes For ‘Pedophilic’ Music Video ‘Elastic Heart,’ Starring Shia LaBeouf, 28, and Maddie Ziegler, 12
Sia has responded to critics who have hailed her “Elastic Heart” music video — which stars 28-year-old Shia LaBeouf and 12-year-old star Maddie Ziegler — as pedophilic.
In the controversial video, Shia is wearing nothing but nude-colored boxers as he faces off with the tween star of ‘Dance Moms’ by dancing in a way that has been described as “sexually provocative.”

“I anticipated some ‘pedophilia!!!’ cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring ‘Sia’ self states,” she tweeted yesterday, Jan. 7.
“I apologize to those who feel triggered by ‘[Elastic Heart].’ My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody.”

Cathy Nesbitt-Stein, one of the “Dance Moms,” is among the people bothered by the controversial imagery. She tells TMZ she “nearly threw up” watching the footage and couldn’t believe the 12-year-old’s mom, Melissa, allowed her daughter to participate.
She says, “I am flabbergasted that Melissa would go to the levels she is going to get her daughter famous.”
