Snooki Gets Mommy-Shamed for Allowing Her Daughter Giovanna to Wear Makeup

The mommy-shamers are back for Snooki "Nicole" Polizzi — and just in time for Mother’s Day.

The former Jersey Shore came under fire again for her parenting skills — this time for her daughter Giovanna. Snooki posted an adorable photo of her applying mascara to her two-year-old right before her big dance recital — and of course, the trolls criticized her and called her a bad mom for letting her toddler wear makeup.

“Beautiful little girl but honestly she doesn't need mascara,” one fan wrote, and another said, “That baby is miserable! And she will grow up to believe she isn’t beautiful in her natural state!”

But Snooki’s loyal fans came to her defense, and many dance instructors and former dancers, ice skaters, and cheerleaders left comments reassuring the mom-of-two that moments like the one she captured are bonding moments and little Giovanna will have those memories forever.

“I remember when my mom would sit just like this doing my makeup for my dance recitals,” one fan commented. “It was one thing I will never forget. Don't worry about the haters, you are just doing something to bond with your daughter and that alone is the greatest thing any mother could do.”

Snooki’s comments section is usually flooded with unsolicited advice about how to raise her children, and it’s gotten so bad that she took a break from posting photos of her kids on Instagram. But in her following post, she hit back at the haters and found a new way to deal with them.

“Instead of not posting my kids for the people who respect and appreciate their photos, I will turn off the comments section,” the 29-year-old wrote. “I don't need a–h—s telling me how to raise my child and judge them. I'm a damn good mom and know what I'm doing. Well, most of the time.”
