Teen Mom 2’s Briana Complains About Absent Baby Daddy Luis: Stella Doesn’t ‘Know Who He Is’

Fans got to see a sweet moment between Bri and Luis’ daughter Stella and Bri’s ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Devoin Austin.

Bri has had her fair share of drama with Devoin, who is the father of her 7-year-old daughter, Nova.

But Devoin, 26, has really stepped up over the past year or so. He’s been a very active parent in Nova’s life, and he’s also a big part of Nova’s little sister’s life too. Fans got to see a little bit of Devoin and Stella’s bond during a recent episode of Teen Mom 2 at Nova’s fall festival at school.

“This is nice. She likes Devoin. It’s crazy how Stella doesn’t want anybody else,” Briana told her sister, Brittany DeJesus. Brit pointed out that she felt Devoin and Stella’s relationship is a great thing, and Bri said, “It doesn’t bother me.”

“It should bother Luis,” Brittany, 27, said. “If Luis were to be around more, even a FaceTime call, [she would] know his voice and she would run up to Luis definitely.”

“Her dad is moving back here. She’s not gonna know who he is,” Briana replied.

Later in the episode, Briana had a family chat with Brittany and their mother, Roxanne DeJesus, about Luis’ move and his plans for work since he was unemployed at the time.

“He found an apartment with a friend,” Bri told Roxanne and Brittany. “His plans always change every time I see him. Supposedly [he has a] DJ job, supposedly [he’s going to be] a welder, a cop. We’ll see if he’s gonna be around or not.”

Roxanne complained about Luis’ “erratic” lifestyle, and Brittany did not seem convinced that things would change now that he’ll live closer to his daughter.

“When Stella was a newborn he was here and what did he do? He never came,” Brittany said. “It boggles my mind that when Devoin walks into the door she runs to Devoin but if Luis were to walk into the door, she wouldn’t even bother to look. Because even though you lived in New York, you could’ve FaceTimed.”

“I told that to him, he could’ve FaceTimed and she would’ve known who he was when he came back but he didn’t care,” Briana explained.

Bri’s mom pointed out that Devoin has really stepped up and changed for the better, and Bri said that if Luis were to do the same, she wouldn’t have an issue with him.

“If Luis does what he has to do then we can definitely be in the same place as me and Devoin are. I just want Stella to be around her dad and get to know her dad,” Briana said.

And Roxanne had some good advice for Briana about how to proceed with Luis if Stella doesn’t respond well to him.

“I would tell you this: watch her reaction towards him,” Roxanne said. “If she’s welcoming, thank god. If she’s not, remind him that there’s a reason why so that maybe that sinks into him. Because at some point something has to sink in.”
