‘The Challenge’ Season 40 Cast

Season 40 of The Challenge premieres on MTV Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. It “will feature 40 legendary competitors from the series’ 26-year history representing their ‘Challenge Era’ in an epic battle for the ages where legends will collide as they strive to immortalize their names as Challenge 40 Champions and earn their share of the one million dollar prize,” according to a press release.

The contestants will “first compete at the Era Invitational and eliminate the weakest links from within their own Challenge Era for only the best will earn a coveted spot on their team.”

Era 1

The contestants in Era 1 made their Challenge debut during seasons 1-10. The players are: Tina Barta, Katie Cooley, Aneesa Ferriera, Brad Fiorenza, Derrick Kosinski, Mark Long, Rachel Robinson, CT Tamburello, Darrell Taylor and Jodi Weatherton.

Era 2

Era 2 features players who first appeared on The Challenge during seasons 11-20. The team consists of: Derek Chavez, Nehemiah Clark, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, KellyAnne Judd, Ryan Kehoe, Aviv Melmed, Brandon Nelson, Emily Schromm, Cara Maria Sorbello and Laurel Stucky.

Era 3

For Era 3, the players debuted on The Challenge between seasons 21-30. The team members are: Tori Deal, Amanda Garcia, Leroy Garrett, Jonna Mannion, Nia Moore, Tony Raines, Averey Tressler, Devin Walker, Cory Wharton and Jordan Wiseley.

Era 4

The newest Era features players from seasons 31-39 of The Challenge. The team is made up of: Paulie Calafiore, Theo Campbell, Kaycee Clark, Michele Fitzgerald, Horacio Gutiérrez Jr., Olivia Kaiaser, Josh Martinez, Nurys Mateo, Jenny West and Kyland Young.
