The Break Did Her Well
The author has been candid about her ongoing battle with Graves’ disease over the years but recently took a break to focus on her health. “Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ disease that will require treatment,” her family announced in mid-January. “Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital.”

She’s a Fighter
Once she came back to the show, she informed viewers on what her six-week hiatus was like. After revealing all the complications she faced due to thyroid issues, Graves’ disease and Vertigo, she said she’s now doing better. “I have a plethora of doctors, my medical team,” she said. “And I’m happy to tell you that I am doing swell.”

There have been reports that Wendy’s husband, Kevin Hunter, cheated on her and she didn’t hesitate to address the rumors. “I want to shout out to my husband. I am still wearing my ring,” she revealed.

“He is my best friend, my lover, he’s all this and he’s all that. I know what you’ve been saying and I know what the streets have been talking about … But, hunty, let me show you who I fell in love with a new you fell in love with. Hit it,” she added.

But Self-Love Is the Most Important
After her many health scares, Wendy is all about being her best version. “I’m going to the gym seven days a week for two hours a day. Believe me you. I don’t know how this outfit is reading on TV, but mother has not gained a pound. You have to take care of yourself,” she said on the show. You go, girl!
